Key Features

Neck

This guitar was originally designed to be a student guitar as it has a shorter 24” scale length when compared to other guitars on the market. The neck is a C profile shape which is easy to hold and comfortable in your hand. This makes it the perfect guitar for someone that is just beginning to play or for those that have smaller hands.

It's an easier guitar to play when you compare it to a Fender Stratocaster or other Fender electric guitar. You get 22 medium jumbo frets on the guitar so you can play most guitar styles. It's easy to move up the neck on this guitar thanks to the deep cutaway. You’ll be able to solo higher up the neck and your hand won't get cramped while you’re playing.

Electronics and Parts

You get the versatility of both humbucking pickups and single coil pickups with this guitar. The bridge pickup is a humbucker while the neck pickup is a single coil. Most regular Fender guitars have single coil pickups so it's nice that you get a humbucker with the instrument.

It features coil splitting for the pickups so you get more versatility in your sound. You'll be able to play rock, blues, metal, jazz, and similar styles with this guitar. The bridge on the instrument is a hardtail which helps keep your tuning stable.

You get a tone control and volume control to change pick up sounds. There is also a pickup selector switch so you can switch between the bridge and the neck position with ease. On the top of the guitar, you will also find the input jack for your guitar chord.

The tuning machine heads on this guitar or a standard chrome style. The nut is made with bone material to help keep the guitar in tune. The instrument also includes two strap buttons for your guitar strap.

Body

The guitar has a solid wood body and it's quite lightweight so it's not going to be a burden while you are playing at either sitting down and especially while standing up with your guitar strap. The lightweight body will reduce shoulder and neck strain while playing.

The body on the instrument is made out of alder and the neck is made from maple. The finish is a polyester gloss finish which is easy to clean if it happens to get dirty. The fingerboard material is pau ferro wood.

Playability

The Fender Duo-Sonic is an easy guitar to play. Most beginners or intermediate players won't have any trouble playing this instrument. The neck on the guitar is nice and smooth and it is very responsive to your touch.

Both of the pickups in the guitar sound great so you'll be making great sounding music in no time at all. This is also not a complicated guitar to play or to have set up.
