Summary

If you're a guitar or bass player that wants to layer instruments together, or you're a solo performer who wants to add another level of melody to your performances, then the Ditto looper pedal is an excellent choice. It's super easy to use and has only a short learning curve, letting you get down to business minutes after you pull the pedal out the box.

Unlike many other looper pedals, the Ditto from TC Electronics only uses a single level knob along with a single footswitch. You can control the volume using the level knob, and you set your loops using the footswitch control.

You can layer endless loops on top of each other, and you have up to five minutes of recording time. Five minutes is plenty when you're recording simple loops. You can save loops, create new ones, subtract previous ones, and add them back in again, all with the step of a switch. The pedal comes with detailed instructions on how many times and how long you need to hold the pedal to activate each feature.

True bypass circuitry allows your signal to pass through unhindered and keeps the integrity of your natural sound intact. The Ditto pedal is powered by a 9-volt battery and uses 24-bit audio power, which is vital to maintain your tone while layering.

If a looper pedal has a little less power, they will begin to fizzle out when you add too many layers to them. If you're trying to create captivating, well-rounded loops, then you'll want to make sure that you have enough clarity with multiple layers coming into play. That's where this pedal does not disappoint.

The footprint taken up by the Ditto Looper pedal is incredibly small. It may even be the smallest pedal on your pedalboard. If you're short on space, you don't need to worry about taking up much more with this little guy. Despite the size, it's super sturdy and affluent at achieving your desired outcome.

The user-friendliness is one of the essential points to make about this pedal. Some loopers can be slightly tricky to figure out at first, but with only a few practice runs, you may be ready to hit the stage with all of your new and exciting loop layers.

It's relatively affordable, as well. It's pretty much on par with other looper pedals of this caliber. The Ditto would be an excellent addition to any pedalboard, giving you the layers and depth that you may be missing.

Pros

+ Small and compact

Why We Like It

Having a pedal that's this small and straightforward is exceptional. Many pedals, especially loopers, can be somewhat complicated to figure out. As soon as you take this one out of the box, you're ready to start looping. It can hold a ton of recording time, allowing players to explore a ton of different possibilities.

It's an excellent jam companion. If you've been looking for a way to practice your leads, but don't want to jam along with youtube backtracks, you can create your own with the Ditto Looper Pedal.

It holds a stable enough tone that it's useful for live performances as well as studio use. You don't lose any integrity of your sound when you add multiple layers on top, which is a huge plus. The last thing you want is to lose some of the signal strength and have it fizzle out when you're adding layers on.

It's incredibly easy to use, and you can add and subtract loops with just the touch of a switch. When you figure out how many times you need to touch it for each feature, it becomes seamless and subconscious.

This may be the looper pedal you've been looking for. It will add that extra layer of depth and intricacy to your playing that you need. Great for live performances and playing solo around the house.
