Album Review: Every Inch of Earth Pulsates by W. H. Lung

Excellent, Based on 3 Critics

Under The Radar - 85
Based on rating 8.5/10

On their third album, Every Inch of Earth Pulsates, W.H. Lung decided to adopt a more instinctive approach to songwriting, focusing on attempting to capture the electric energy of their remarkable live performances. This new method involved trusting their muse and avoiding overthinking to preserve the raw emotion and vitality of their music. To help bring this vision to fruition, the band collaborated with Sheffield-based producer Ross Orton (MIA, Arctic Monkeys, Working Men's Club).

The Skinny - 80
Based on rating 4/5

The name of this band involves a reference only Manchester natives would understand and, after their second album, that seemed increasingly apt. W.H. Clash Music
Opinion: Excellent

From their 2017 single ‘Inspiration! ' onwards, it’s been clear that W.H. Lung knows how to meticulously craft a catchy tune. The Mancunian band’s blend of krautrock, post-punk, and synthpop has never been anything but polished, but their tracks could come across as meandering at times. An impressive live act, the band has now wisely aimed to capture their more forceful side, linking up with Artic Monkeys and MIA collaborator Ross Orton.
