Album Review: Moonlight Concessions by Throwing Muses

Another reliably compelling missive from the rare talent that is Kristin Hersh Kristin Hersh has been one of the most prolific, idiosyncratic voices in alternative rock for the last 40 years – and also one of the most influential, being a prime name in the East Coast scene in the mid-’80s that produced Pixies, amongst others. Whether it be through her solo material or her work with both Throwing Muses and 50 Foot Wave, Hersh’s songs sound like nobody else. Midnight Concessions is the 11th Throwing Muses album and is a bit of a left turn from their previous record.
