One of the many advantages of growing older is that you stop caring so much about what people think of you. This surely goes double for a dance-music legend like RP Boo. Established!, Boo's fourth full-length for Planet Mu, may be titled to remind the casual listener that the Chicago DJ and producer is no newcomer to the footwork game: His 1997 song "Baby Come On" has been cited as the genre's founding track.

Established! by RP Boo Footwork pioneer, Chicago producer Kavain Space AKA RP Boo returns with a reminder of both his existence and his legacy on Established! On the surface , the album sounds like a minimalist dance album, but it is filled with details that catch the ear. Specifically created for dance contests, footwork is an intricate construction of chopped up beats and samples designed to test the skills of rival crews. RP plays his rhythm tracks off against the percussive effects of his vocal cut-ups.
