The up-and-coming British artist shines on her vibrant, hedonistic debut album As 2025 kicks off, the British pop industry is generally in a bad way: new artists are struggling to break through amidst a sea of American hits, while the careers of various established artists are either cooling down or stalling completely. In this context it's lucky that Rose Gray's debut album is such a great listen, with catchy, thoughtful songwriting and club-ready production from the likes of Alex Metric, Sega Bodega and Zhone. Louder, Please opens with its most intense track, as Damn pairs crunchy breakbeats with distorted bass hits.

We are SO back. In the club, that is. Rose Gray's sweaty, euphoric dance floor record, ‘Louder, Please’, is a 12-track homage to dance music and club culture, filled with hedonistic tales of all-in nights out, love lost, and love found. A modern pop record, Gray's debut album reflects influences spanning the '90s, '00s and 2010s.
