After throwing props the way of Biz Markie and Dr. Dre's classic album The Chronic, Long Island rapper R.A. the Rugged Man offers his headline bio "I'm just a white boy born into what blacks invented/But I'm the baddest!," and with the funkiest of flows. If he mentioned an exciting mixing of Twista's speed, De La Soul's D.A.I.S.Y.

R.A. the Rugged Man cares. For all the brash “I don’t give a fuck” talk that dominates his public persona, Legends Never Die is evidence the burly rapper with the manic flow has a heart for the craft, the culture, and the diehard fans. It’s been nearly a decade since the Rugged Man put out a proper album.
Opinion: Excellent
It’s been nearly a decade since his official studio debut Die, Rugged Man, Die in 2004, but through a series of impressive guest features alongside the likes of Jedi Mind Tricks and Blu, R.A. the Rugged Man has remained a ferocious MC to be reckoned with. Now, the Suffolk County veteran has returned to the fold with his latest album, Legends Never Die, a bruiser of an effort replete with hard-hitting boom-bap beats and dense lyricism.
