Album Review: The Later Years 1987-2019 [Box Set] by Pink Floyd

Up until his 30th birthday or thereabouts, this writer would have informed you very firmly indeed, probably with some finger-pointing, pint-sloshing and bullet-point-belching, that it was all vertiginously downhill for Pink Floyd after The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. With age comes humility and perspective, however; and it's almost a relief to admit that Meddle, More, A Saucerful Of Secrets and Ummagumma are all now also jostling for dominion on that same lofty plateau. Nevertheless, coming 'round to latter-day Floyd material has still been a drawn-out process for some of us.
