Album Review: Heart Attack by Man Overboard

Fairly Good, Based on 1 Critic

AllMusic - 60
Based on rating 6/10

Emo never really went away, but Man Overboard could practically fall into the category of emo-punk revival with their early-2000s sound. The songwriting can be a bit samey, but the group writes some unexpectedly catchy hooks that might win over cynics -- one of which can be heard on "Open Season," a punchy little number that features guest vocals by Geoff Rickly of Thursday.
