L.S. Dunes reintroduce themselves as a group to pay attention to on its own merit, blowing their debut out of the water in (nearly) every way. When L.S. Dunes first revealed themselves sporting a lineup consisting of members from Circa Survive, Coheed and Cambria, Thursday, and My Chemical Romance, it seemed like a proposition that might be too good to be true to anyone who had ever donned fingerless gloves or checkerboard Vans.
It's little surprise, really, that L.S. Dunes - a band born during the uncertainty and chaos of the pandemic - would end up making a debut preoccupied with a dark sense of cynicism. With its successor, however, the band - or supergroup, if you will, boasting members of My Chemical Romance, Circa Survive and Thursday, to name a few - have approached things with a lighter but still profound touch.
Despite forming just three years ago, calling L.S. Dunes newcomers to the scene would be wildly inaccurate. Bringing decades of experience to the table, they're a rock supergroup consisting of alt-scene heavyweights Anthony Green (Circa Survive, Saosin), Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance) , Travis Stever (Coheed and Cambria), Tim Payne (Thursday), and Tucker Rule (Thursday).
