Oh, this is good. This is really good. Turns out that sequels don't always suck. Following the leftfield invention of 2014's debut album 'Life As A Dog', Illinois MC Kristine Flaherty – AKA K.Flay – has one-upped herself. Packing a cinematic production, bags of attitude and irresistible couplets evoking intrigue, a sense of time, place and feeling, this second full-length delivers in spades. The Vans Warped Tour graduate is unlike any other artist you'll read about in Rock Sound, yet she instinctively feels like one of ours – while orbiting a universe all of her own.

Just a few seconds into the opening track on K. Flay's second album Every Where Is Some Where and you'll know whether you want to continue listening or swiftly turn it off. Hailing from San Francisco, alt-pop singer K. Flay has been heralded as 'the next big thing' by many, but it's difficult to see why.
