Joan Wasser returns with an opulent, sensuous and assured collection of new songs that will be seen as one of her finest albums to date Since releasing her debut album back in 2007 Joan Wasser has experimented with different styles and approaches under her Joan As Police Woman name but everything she has produced has always been underpinned by a carefully considered, soulful quality. Early albums like Real Life and To Survive established arguably her signature low-key sound before later albums like The Deep Field and The Classic saw her move in more animated, dynamic ways. Her previous involvement with the likes of Antony & The Johnsons, Rufus Wainwright, Lou Reed, Elton John and John Cale and others shows the high regard in which she's held and tenth album Lemons, Limes And Orchids will only further elevate her credentials.
