It is fair to say that nobody present at Iggy and the Stooges' final gig in January 1974 ever thought that the quartet would reform to widespread excitement. In fact, it is probably fair to say that nobody present at Iggy and the Stooges' final gig ever thought the quartet were going to leave Detroit's Michigan Palace alive. The problem had something to do with their addled lead singer's curious notion of what constituted a promotional radio appearance.
