We've heard that Peter Sagar is Mac DeMarco's touring guitarist. We know he must be good then. But his lo-fi, boyish, oddly smooth R&B treatments under his rather unpresuming Homeshake moniker leave us in a muddled mess. Horns puff on "Call Me Up," delicately draping his youthful falsetto. So ….

Homeshake keeps it spicy with album number three, Fresh Air, his follow-up to Midnight Snack and In the Shower. With synths, electric drums, snaps and falsetto, Peter Sagar continues on his quest to bring back the positive feelings of the late '80s and '90s, lyrically sticking to love, lust and loneliness, and figuring out how to busy yourself during the in-between. This time around, the production feels far more straightforward, with his vocals being less tampered-with (no reverb or echo effects) and the instrumentation more sparse ….
