Happier days After the Rattlesnakes' egregious misfire in 2021, it was safe to say the band had burnt away any goodwill I had left for them. What started out as a ferocious, hard-hitting rock band with hefty servings of hardcore and a dash of pop had come to an illogically comical conclusion by the time Sticky had arrived. Sure, End of Suffering was a soporific rock album that lacked the immediate elements of previous works, but for all of its flaws, it had the decency to carry over the distinct atmosphere of Modern Ruin, and it at least sounded like a Rattlesnakes record.
Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes: Betting On Themselves After the frenzied blitz of 2021's 'Sticky', Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes are emerging with a reflective, grand statement on fifth album 'Dark Rainbow'. Tags: Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Reviews, Album Reviews .
Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have always blazed a path for those who like their rock to lean on the dark side. The group's fourth album 'Dark Rainbow' is a distillation of what's been before, while also refusing to rest on its laurels; intense, yet also shot through with aspects of brilliant light, it's unafraid to loiter in the depths. 'Honey' is all writhing spasms and out-of-control twitches, an introductory rager that scorches the paint from the walls.
