Rock chameleons Elbow are always looking to push the envelope and explore new directions regardless of genre, as long as the outcome is great music. Their 10th studio album, AUDIO VERTIGO, is no exception. In classic Elbow style, the songs on AUDIO VERTIGO sound unmistakably Elbow, but also like nothing you might expect. Which is exactly what we've come to expect from these maverick British alt rockers.
Opinion: Fantastic
elbow have been at the bedrock of the British Indie scene for over 20 years, with a winning blend of soaring festival singalong anthems like ‘One Day Like This’ , more intimate works and proper rock n roll, sometimes within the same album. Their past two albums ‘Giants of All Sizes’ and ‘Flying Dream 1’ showcased this juxtaposition with a jump from post-punk riffs to more intimate acoustic and jazz surroundings. The Manchester band returns with their 10th album ‘Audio Vertigo’, which is another winning blend of genres and shows a continued desire to keep redefining their sound and the expectations fans might have.
