Very Good, Based on 3 Critics

Under The Radar - 70
Based on rating 7/10

Carly Rae Jepsen built her career on the peripheries of love--the first move toward a crush on mega-hit "Call Me Maybe," the Springsteenian desire to escape life's worries with a lover on "Run Away With Me," and the haunting daydreams of missed opportunities on "Julien. Poptimism’s mascot returns with a slightly more mellow sound, but the spirit of fun is still alive and well If poptimism has a mascot, it's Carly Rae Jepsen. She deftly sidestepped the one-hit-wonder label with delicious hooks and explosive production, building a fanbase who, ironically, are just as devoted regardless of how successful her music is.
