There's a quiet sort of power emanating from France at the moment. Where you may have expected overt aggression in the wake of all the country has been through of late, a lot of the music that has caught our ears in 2017 is somehow restrained: it throbs, instead of rages, shifts uneasily rather than exploding into fury. François & The Atlas Mountains' Solide Mirage was one such album.
