Stones and Woods is the second album in just over a year from the German artist Lars Stöwe, better known as Anstam. For an idea of how it's different from its predecessor, it's worth considering this explanation from the artist: "If Dispel Dances was the journey deep into the heart of Anstam—then Stones and Woods is the diary of living there. " The opening minutes of the album continue Anstam's evisceration of the UK hardcore continuum, but in increments rather than leaps.
