A simple pleasure

This single track sampler by South London gal Claire Toomey certainly shows promise, her pop/rock sound running in the same vein as early Alanis Morrisette or Kelly Clarkson. Of course it’s impossible to make a reasonable judgement of an artist based on one song, but she’s certainly talented and vocally strong, and the song has a catchy acoustic chorus, with some nice beats thrown in for good measure. It’s a professional sounding, if not terribly exciting, record. Ms Toomey could well be one to watch.
