Walnut Back and Sides Give This Taylor a Sweet Tone!

The Baby Taylor is a 3/4-size dreadnought from one of America's favorite acoustic guitar builders. The smaller body size is incredibly comfortable and helps to eliminate unwanted boomy tones. Made with a solid spruce top and layered walnut back and sides, this guitar creates a sweet tone with great note definition. The sleek neck is comfortable in your hand and has a glassy-smooth fingerboard. Whether you're a seasoned road dog looking for a new companion or a new player who needs something extremely comfortable, you'll love Taylor's Baby Taylor!

Quality tonewoods give you standout tone you can afford

The Baby Taylor may be small in stature but it has many of the same features that made the Taylor name famous. This guitar features a solid spruce top for enhanced resonance and nuanced note definition. Pair that with the layered walnut back and sides, and the Baby Taylor will create a warm, resonant tone with a shimmering top end. The body is mated to a sleek maple neck that feels incredibly comfortable in your hand. You'll fall in love with your Baby Taylor from the very first note.

Ready for the road

As a 3/4-size guitar, the Baby Taylor is great for traveling players or those who prefer smaller instruments. The comfortable dreadnought easily fits in the trunk of your car, in the bus seat next to you, or in your lap during long journeys. The layered body construction resists changes in temperature and humidity too, so it'll always be down for an adventure, and the included soft gig bag will help prevent minor damage caused by transport. If you're looking for a companion on the road, Sweetwater recommends the Baby Taylor.

Taylor Baby Taylor BT1 Walnut Acoustic Guitar Features:

  • Perfectly-sized travel companion for seasoned players and beginners alike

  • Solid spruce top adds extra note definition and premium response
  • Layered walnut back and sides create a warm, rounded tone

Great little guitar lol lol

I really enjoy finger picking this guitar.
And strumming it without a pick is awesome too.
Very satisfied with my purchase.

Silly people

It's a $ Taylor. I bought a Big Baby and went back to my Baby. I love it's brightness, it's portability, and relatively loud sound. If you don't want screws, lower volume, etc, just buy something else. This is a gem, not a failure. It's my favorite of six guitars.

Great travel and all around guitar

Seems to me that the bad reviews are from folks who expect way too much from this great little guitar. A Baby Taylor is not a full size guitar. It doesn't have a big boomy sound. It is what it is and no other guitar company comes close for the money. Solid Sitka spruce top, ebony saddle and feet board are what Taylor puts in the best instruments. It's easy to play and love. I've taken mine on vacations and mission trips, and it's a great instrument for my granddaughter to learn on. If you understand what you're buying, I think you'll be very pleased.

Screws bother you? Really?!

I can't believe people are complaining about the screws Oo what an odd thing to worry about, it's been common practice to use screws through the fretboard then hide them with fret markers, it's makes no difference at all in the playability of the instrument, which should be why you're buying a Taylor in the first place. This durable, great sounding entry level/travel instrument. If they reengineered the guitar, and hid the screws, that would add cost. It's not new, they've been like this for a very long time, and I for one, have never had a single issue with it, and love the sound of every Taylor I've played including the Baby!

Sweet Guitar

Loved this guitar. I have the Big Baby and you can definitely tell the difference with projection compared to this one. The Simple slick look and size make it so easy to grab and take anywhere though which to me is the alternative. Definitely would consider trying out a new pair of strings before finalizing your thoughts on this guitar. I used Earthwood silk and steel 10-50 on the guitar and what a world of a difference. Don't believe me just try. So much more richer with vibration and bass kicking in as well.
