THE 5A drum sticks!

I am honestly baffled to not see other drummers reviewing these 5A bad boys, other than the excellent review that has already been left on these. I've tried various sizes from various companies, and all of that is very subjective.

But…

This sticks are (in my opinion) a golden standard of how a 5A should be made; the weight/balance, tip and finish are all top tier stuff. Mix Vater's unparalleled quality with Sweetwater's unmatched customer service… and that's just a match made up in Heaven, folks!

Good for the price

Price: These sticks cost $ less than a lot of other big brands, which is definitely a plus. It might not be a lot of money by itself, but when you play professionally/consistently you go through a lot of sticks over the years. That being said, the price does show in the quality and you will go through a lot of these Vater 5A's as they are not the most durable.

Feel: Some people might like that these feel a bit bigger than a lot of other 5A's, while being lighter as well. They did feel good in my hands!

Durability: These lasted me maybe around two months, which is much, much shorter than how long a pair of Vic Firth's lasts me. Again, it makes sense because these are so affordable. These started chipping right away and kept chipping, causing my band members to start calling me "the carpenter" because I and my drums were always covered in tiny wood chippings.

These are affordable, and the price of the multi-pack also looks great, so these could be a nice option for buying in bulk. However, due to the price, quality really is sacrificed. I tried several pairs of Vater sticks, even the ones that go up to the more standard $, and was not very impressed. I am currently a Vic Firth gal, but these things depend largely on personal taste. Try a pair of these, they're cheap and you might like 'em! Hope this was helpful.
