An EQ Pedal Designed for Guitars

Capture your perfect sound with Behringer's Graphic Equalizer EQ700 effect pedal. The EQ700's 7-band EQ offers a 15dB boost of cut of each band. Make sure your guitar solo cuts through the mix by pushing the 800Hz and 1.6kHz range, or kill stubborn acoustic-electric feedback by reducing the 400Hz range. Sweetwater knows that every instrument has its own sound, and that an EQ pedal is the perfect way to make sure they sound their best. Give your rig a sonic boost with the Behringer Graphic Equalizer EQ700 effect pedal.

10 years and still operating as new.

Many different uses...Great for clean boost or cut and in different frequencies . Also great for your home stereo system. I also use it when I plug my laptop into my amp for ;listening to music. Also I put it in the effects loop so I can cut the volume when in overdrive. Also great for boosting your signal when trying to get a clean amp into overdrive. I have a 40 watt Fender BDRI, and I can't get my strat to overdrive the tubes, even in the overdrive channel, which is great for me, I like it clean. But I mess around with overdrive sometimes. My les Paul ,with 57 classics, does overdrive the tubes but just barely. So cool. But if I run the guitars thru the Behringer Overdrive 700, I can control the drive with that. Sometimes I just overdrive the bass frequencies and it really thickens up the tone, like a Marshall stack!

Affordable and Reliable

Needed an EQ for my home practice rig, and the Behringer 7 Band EQ gets it done. I am playing through a Bitmo modded Epiphone Valve Jr, and the EQ gives me lots of tonal range. I use my rig to come up with new song ideas, so I am very happy with the new edition to the pedalboard.

Tailor made tone

This tone shaping tool can tighten up your sound by eliminating the frequencies you don't want, and boosting the ones you do.Im able to get rid of unwanted brittle mids in the 500hz range and boost the treble slightly for a clean, punchy sound.Paired with the Berhinger compressor pedal, the Behringer v tone bass driver D.I., and the Berhinger bass overdrive,I've got a killer bass tone!I play it thru my Behringer BX45000 bass head and my Ampeg svt 8 tens, but it also makes ordinary gear sound fantastic!Try one, you can have rich tone on a poor mans budget,as Berhinger roots for musicians that aren't made of money. Thanks, Berhinger!

A trick for re-centering the sliders...

Another solid Behringer pedal I'm happy to have in my collection. The only big shortcoming with it is that the sliders don't "click" into place when set to 0 the way they do with some other EQ pedals. So here's a trick... grab a Bic lighter and lay it below the sliders, right between the sliders and the top of the foot switch. Then move all the sliders down until they're flush against the lighter -- at that point, they should all be right at 0. (If you play guitar, chances are someone around you has a lighter.)

Works perfect in Blackstar HT-5R effects loop

Summary: Electronics are great, works great, made of plastic and might not be the most durable.

Pros: using this in the effects loop of a Blackstar HT-5 makes the amp a super low volume tone monster. The amp lacks a master volume, and I've always thought master volumes were deficient in getting tone at low, practice volumes anyway. With the Behringer EQ last in the chain in the loop, I can get some real low chunk at barely above string volume. With everything at zeros, I dial in the lows first, and fill in from there.

This is basically what EQs do, and this one has the nice feature of a volume attenuator, which is helpful. The signal is clean, and sliders do not make any sounds in the line when moving them.

Cons: this is plastic. It feels cheap. It's like a Mercedes engine and interior and everything else, but outside it's plastic. And it looks and feels plastic. When you move the sliders, they *feel* scratchy even though they don't sound it. It will probably last for years if treated with respect, it just doesn't feel like it.

Cons aside, I might buy a second one at some point to use in the guitar effects chain. Equalized signal boost can be pretty useful with multiple effects. I'm a bedroom player and it doesn't have to be gig durable.
