Sturdy and Awesome!

I had purchased FL Studio but didn't wanna use my mouse for everything so I ordered myself the AKAI Fire. I absolutely love it. I had some issues with it at first but figured it out.... it had to do with setting it up in the midi section of FL. Make sure you set it up correctly or else it will feel off. Other than that, the construction is STURDY and having something to control what's inside FL studio is so darn awesome! I would totally recommend this to FL users. ABSOLUTELY Worth it!

Quick, easy and hassle-free

I've been a long time fan and user of FL studio. Sometimes envious of other daws because they have dedicated controllers. A lot of midi controllers I own I bought trying to piece together the perfect setup for workflow inside of FL studio and it would take several different midi controllers to get what you get out of the akai fire right out of the box. You literally just hook it up to your computer open up FL studio and you are making beats. If you love FL studio I consider this a must-have. I'm considering purchasing a second unit because you can have off the four inside of FL. I highly recommend the akai fire to both beginners and advanced users!!

This was made for FL!

Ever have trouble getting a controller to map to your DAW? I have, but not with this! Plug it in and it's already mapped. Plus if you need custom maps there's two slots for it. Only thing I want to see in the next version is velocity sensitive pads to humanize beats without having to go in and draw velocities (changing velocities or panning in step sequence is just a turn of the knob).

This controller is amazing! I've especially enjoyed the easy sliceX drum mode and the different keyboard layouts (never hit a wrong note). Check it out on youtube. In my opinion it is a must have for the step sequencer, and controls such as play, pause, record, and my favorite button has to be new pattern (pattern down while on the bottom pattern.
