For former Fugees fans who find Lauryn Hill a sanctimonious bore, the joy of Wyclef Jean is his flair for the ridiculous. This is a man whose catchy pop-rap-reggae hybrids include Perfect Gentleman, an impassioned defence of the lapdancing community with the chorus, "Just cos she dance the go-go, don't make her a ho, no". Deciding to release his fourth album on the same day as his Greatest Hits, however, was not his smartest move.
